Treatment for the Young

Therapy for Children

Children between ages 4 to 18 can highly benefit from craniosacral therapy, especially when they suffer under conditions such as autism, learning difficulties, ADD, anxiety, depression, physicial disabilities, chronic headaches and TMJ. This most gentle therapy may improve function in the child's central nervous system and help improve his/her overall quality of life, without the necessity of medication.

How to Prepare Your Child For Her/His First Treatment

Craniosacral Therapy for Children

Before your first visit, please talk to your child and tell her that he/she is getting a "special" treatment, that will be relaxing, fun and make her feel better afterwards. Use the word "massage" instead of "treatment" in case it sounds too medical to her. She can wear her favorite, most comfortable clothes (yes, PJ's are great!), and bring her favorite stuffed animal to cuddle during the session. Tell her that she will take off her shoes and either lay down with a blanket we provide, or sit up, whichever is more relaxing for her. You can stay with your child in the room, hold her on your lab, or leave the room, whichever her preference.
